DIB SEN Madrassah
In Sahih Muslim, the Prophet said: ‘Verily Allah does not look at your bodies nor at your faces but He looks into your hearts’ (32, 6220).
At Darul Ilm Birmingham, we pride ourselves on being able to open the first SEN Madrassah in Birmingham. We strongly hold to our belief that all individuals have a right to be treated equally: everyone is important, whether disabled or not and everyone has the right to be educated, regardless of ability. We always uphold the fact that everyone has a right not to be underestimated because of their ability and they also have the right to be included in society and to have an effective, valuable role within it.
In fact, all these values are not from ourselves but they directly reflect the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw). Often times when we look for geniuses who had learning disabilities, we look towards Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton, but we sometimes forget that the Prophet even entrusted the leadership of the city of Madinah, the second holy city in Saudi Arabia, twice to the blind man.
Everybody is equal, everybody is special and we leave no one behind.
