Darul Ilm Response to New Zealand Terrorist Attack

    إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

Truly, to Allah we belong and truly to Him we shall return.

Darul Ilm is saddened and shocked to hear of the terrorist attacks on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. This is a barbaric act against the Muslim community and the people of New Zealand.

We strongly condemn these terrorist attacks, which are an evil act of extremism in a place of worship. We thank the New Zealand Prime Minister for recognising this as an act of terrorism.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased and wounded. We pray that God gives patience to their families through these difficult times and guides the people of New Zealand through this tragedy.

Our response to such heinous crimes is to show unity rather than allowing the terrorists to cause division. Care and compassion for each other is the best way to counter such evil acts.

Please pray for the martyred, the wounded and their families.

And we seek Allah’s help and protection in all matters.
