Sab’ha Qira’at Course – specialisation in the seven modes of recitation

Duration: 2 years

The Sab’ah Qira’at specialisation course is designed for students who have memorised the Holy Qur’an and are proficient in its recitation.

Students will learn the different modes of recitation from qualified Muqris who have ijazahs in the sab’ah Qira’at.

This is both a theoretical and practical course and students are expected to be able to apply all rules learnt by heart.

The following topics and books will be studied:
1. Muqadimmatul Jazariyyah – Ibn Al-Jazariy
2. Al-Waafi Sharh Al-Shatibiyyah – Abdul Fattah Al-Qaadhi
3. Selected parts of Hirz Al-Amaani wa Wajhu Al-Tahani (Al-Shatibiyyah – didactic poem)

Who is this course for?

Huffaz of the Qur’an with proficiency in recitation (preferably an ijazah in way of recitation eg Hafs)

The classes will be held on Saturdays 7pm till 10pm UK TIME ( Starting Saturday 9th September 2023)

The tuition fees are £250 per semester
