Darul ilm seeks to develop students beyond the six-year Alim course with an additional two years in which they specialise in Islamic jurisprudence. This is designed to give the graduated students practice in Ifta (giving Islamic rulings).
They will study specialist books with special muftis and the main focus will be to give the students practice and experience of answering day-to-day issues within the community.
Students are encouraged to research different contemporary issues and give fatwas regarding them. This helps them investigate and broaden their knowledge.
