مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَطْلُبُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَلَكَ اللَّهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا مِنْ طُرُقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَتَضَعُ أَجْنِحَتَهَا رِضًا لِطَالِبِ الْعِلْمِ وَإِنَّ الْعَالِمَ لَيَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْحِيتَانُ فِي جَوْفِ الْمَاءِ وَإِنَّ فَضْلَ الْعَالِمِ عَلَى الْعَابِدِ كَفَضْلِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الْكَوَاكِبِ وَإِنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَرَثَةُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَإِنَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ لَمْ يُوَرِّثُوا دِينَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا وَرَّثُوا الْعِلْمَ فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ أَخَذَ بِحَظٍّ وَافِرٍ

Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, then Allah will ease for him the path to Paradise. Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. Verily, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the fish in the depths of the water, will seek forgiveness for the scholar. Verily, the virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is the superiority of the moon over the stars. Verily, the scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. They do not leave behind gold or silver coins, but rather they leave behind knowledge. Whoever has taken hold of it has been given an abundant share.

The Alim Course covers the most important and necessary subjects of Islam which the student will study gradually learn from basic to an advanced level. This will be completed under the tuition of experienced and knowledgeable scholars teaching at Darul Ilm Birmingham. The duration of the course is 6 years and it will be possible to attend the lessons both online and on-site.

Some of the subjects which will be covered are the following:

1) Arabic (morphology and etymology)
2) Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
3) Tafsir
4) Hadeeth
5) Usool al-Hadith and Fiqh
6) Literature and much more

Who is this course for?

The Alim Course is suitable for every seeker of knowledge that wants to study Islam from basic to an advanced level under the tuition of an experienced teacher.

Are there any prerequisites for the course?

There are only three prerequisites that are needed to be met in order for the student to make the most of their Islamic Studies:

1. Ability to read the Qur’an fluently i.e. the Arabic alphabet
2. Punctuality and attendance of all weekly lessons
3. Investing necessary time and effort

Timings and Tuition Fees

The morning Alim course for men is on Mondays – Fridays 10 am – 2.30 pm

The tuition fees are as follows per term/semester (There are three semesters in the year):

Year 1: £300 PER TERM

Year 2: £325 PER TERM

Year 3: £350 PER TERM

Year 4: £375 PER TERM

Year 5: £400 PER TERM

Year 6: £450 PER TERM

What if I have studied some of the initial years of the Alimiyyah Course with some other institute/madrasah and want to join your institute?
